LO5.1: Be able to edit cinematic quality footage

  

 

In this screenshot the editing has been changed where it shows the protagonist talking to his reflection. However, the shot in the mirror is doing different actions to what the real version is. This shows how he is arguing with himself. It was filmed as two shots and then the shot in the mirror was masked over the scene of the real version of the protagonist speaking with the audio being linked up. 

 

 When the protagonist is walking down the street and sees the girl there is then a transition called VR light fade which connotes someone having a dream sequence, when the transition fades the colour of the video turns to a light blue. 

 

 

 

Throughout the dream sequence the colour keep changing with each scene this is done with light rays and the transition is VR light fade. This is achieved by going to light effects and pressing onto light rays, the way the screen changes colour is by opening the effects panel and then entering the colour you’d like the change the colour to. 

 

 

 

The jump cut between the protagonist talking to the girl and then him on his own is an interesting way of showing how he feels during the experience. 

 

How does he feel and how done? He feels alone during this and you can tell it is reality by the colour of the screen being changed to normal. 

 

 

 

Once he discovers that the girl already had a girlfriend there is a sudden thud sound effect as the film cuts back through between the little bits of happiness in a grey colour scheme showing how his dreams are crushed.
